This time next week I will be on my way to London for the Tots100 Mad awards and to say I am excited is an understatement. I remember sat glued to my twitter feed this time last year eagerly watching who, out of my blogging favourites left with an award, wishing one day that I could be there. But to be honest was not holding my breath.

CloggsAnd in a weeks time I will be there arghhh.  I am still a little overwhelmed by what blogging has brought to my family and I, the wonderful people and brands that have come into our lives and become friends. When I pressed publish for the first time I had no idea what was ahead. I have met friends I have laughed, cried and ranted with.

But now I am attending it feels different, I realise it is not all about winning, but being there. That is my achievement, the category I am in, the competition is tough, and it has some of my favourite bloggers whose blogs I have followed since day 1. So  I will be traveling to London proud to be involved, proud to be a finalist. Knowing that whoever wins, I will be thrilled for them. Because lets face it there is nothing more ugly than a sore loser.

Globe 2

If you had of told me 2 years ago I would have met friends online I would have laughed my socks of, I am a confident person on the outside, so would not have thought this would have been something I would have done. But I met 18 wonderful ladies who I chat with every day and am so excited to be meeting up and having a girly weekend with some of them next week. We do try to get together quite a bit, which is wonderful.

And next month Chris the boys and I will be working alongside Diabetes UK and completing the London Bridge Challenge, a charity so close to our hearts because of the support we received when Jack was diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes.

I want to say a great big thank you to the lovely people at Cloggs for sponsoring me and sending me the most beautiful pair of shoes to match my dress for the Mad Awards. I have worked with Cloggs once or twice this year and truly love their site, the choice is amazing, and the service and delivery is fantastic. And the shoe’s, well I could spend a fortune, there are so many beautiful shoes.

And Citybase apartments for providing us with an apartment in Kensington for the evening, the apartment looks fab and I am excited for the pre event build up with the girls.
